what to expect
Take a guided bike excursion from Amsterdam to see the Dutch countryside. You can either choose a regular bike and a shorter bike route or an electric bike for a longer ride that will allow you to cover more ground without exerting yourself. Explore a variety of UNESCO-listed canals, farmlands, antique windmills, and traditional Dutch landscapes. You’ll also make a detour to taste some Dutch cheese.
On this amazing guided countryside bike tour, you’ll be taken through the beautiful Dutch countryside of Waterland to the north of Amsterdam, and onwards to the stunning cities and town plus you’ll be able to sample some Dutch cheese and get to know more about clog making.
Route
From the nearby Central Station, our friendly local guide will take you to Noord via the IJ Boulevard, where you can board a ferry to cross the IJ. Riding your bike further, our journey leads you past a windmill and north along the North Holland Canal into the Dutch polder countryside, characterized by numerous dikes and ditches. You are unable to shake the serene calm that permeates the quaint medieval village of Broek in Waterland as we cycle through it.
MONNICKENDAM
Explore the picturesque town of Monnickendam, a gem of Dutch national heritage. We stroll along its charming canals, admire historic architecture, and soak in the tranquillity of this idyllic destination. Large groups of tourists are not allowed here so you can experience the quietness of this idyllic old Dutch town.
CHEESE FACTORY IRENE HOEVE
Visit the Irene Hoeve to learn more about the traditional way to make clogs and taste some of the best Dutch Cheese. An immersive cheese experience in the Netherlands.
MARKEN (ONLY FOR THE LONGER ROUTE ON E-BIKES)
Admire the stunning landscapes along the way to Marken. You will feel like you have stepped into a Dutch painting. The guide will take you to the Marker museum which ilustrates the lifestyle of the picturesque and traditional town.
ZUNDERDORP
Zunderdorp is a village of about 400 inhabitants, located near Amsterdam and has a strong community as well as a rich history. Medieval time with the old church and city hall.
RANSDORP
See the famous Ransdorpertower and the city hall of this medieval town just outside of Amsterdam. You can climb the tower of the church in the summer months.

Tour starts at 09.00 hrs. and end 16.00 hrs., unless otherwise agreed upon. However, the tour can start later, if requested ahead of time.
The tour ends at the designated departure point.
MEETING POINT
Guests will be always picked up at their hotel or accommodation in Amsterdam.
Hotels located outside the Amsterdam region, you will be picked up at an easy-to-find pick-up location. Extra travel time will be charged for pickups outside of Amsterdam.
