When you arrive at Keukenhof Gardens, take a self-guided walk to see themed gardens and flower sculptures while you stroll among acres of vivid tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths.
Next, visit Zaanse Schans, an outdoor museum including wooden homes, shops, and operational windmills from the 18th and 19th centuries. Visit the Clog Museum to observe traditional craftsmanship and wooden shoemakers in action. Learn the craft of making cheese in the Netherlands by visiting a cheese farm in Catharina Hoeve.
Then you’ll head over to the charming and historical towns of Volendam and Marken.

Head to Keukenhof Gardens
Keukenhof, the world’s largest and most beautiful garden. It is situated in the heart of South Holland’s tulip area. Keukenhof was once just a vegetable and herb garden. Millions of bulbs are planted in the 32 hectares of gardens and 15 kilometers of walkways throughout this visit. The grounds are covered in a multitude of vividly colored spring bulbs, including tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and others. Explore the historical garden, the Japanese garden, and the English garden. Admire the floral sculptures, which are based on a yearly theme.
At the Keukenhof Gardens, you will receive your tickets which are included in this excursion. Before entering, the tour guide or your driver guide will provide an introduction to Keukenhof and the story behind it. You can then self-explore the gardens and pavilions at your leisure.

We conitnue with a lovely ride through the bulbflower area in Lisse on our way to Zaanse Schans. With vibrant carpets of bulbflowers in nearly every color you can think of is visible. This region is one of the major tulip-growing areas in the Netherlands, and the most popular region for visitors from around the world.
A beautiful route with rows of multicoloured flowers; daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths among others. There is opportunity to stop and take those coveted pictures of the tulips. A memorable and unforgettable experience awaits you.
Zaanse Schans Windmill Village
In the 18th and 19th centuries, a collection of functional windmills, wooden homes, stables, and shops may be seen in the windmill town of Zaanse Schans, which is an outdoor museum. All of these structures were relocated here starting in 1961, revitalizing the Zaan region’s most profitable era.
Enter one windmill which is included in your excursion, and see how these wind-powered industries operate. Get out on the balcony to experience the power of the wind yourself and to enjoy the lovely view of the countryside.
Access ticket to one of these windmills: Oil mill: De Bonte Hen or De Zoeker. Sawmill Het Jonge Schaap or dye mill De Kat.
Join a clog shoe demonstration at the wooden shoe workshop of the Zaanse Schans village.

Marken
Visit the old traditional island Marken and its old harbour house of Sytje Boes. Admire the typical Marken houses and the ‘Church Neighbourhood’ (Kerkbuurt). You’ll step right into the history of this beautiful island.
Admire the stunning landscapes along the way, you’ll feel like you have stepped into a Dutch painting.
